General Information
Marsh Lib has now a very successful golf society. Players abilities range from average to just rubbish. If you play golf now or have done in the past please come and join us on one of our events.
News of our golf society is spreading far and wide with a request from down south for updates on our previous and forthcoming events.
To join you have to pay a £25 joining fee which also entitles you to a very smart Marsh Lib polo shirt.

Oulton Hall
The weather was good as we set off for the first tee although it had rained over night.
We realised how much when we saw a herd of hippo’s wallowing in the mud on the second fairway.
Players were shaking on the first as we had a starter calling us onto the tee,
which is quite intimidating when you have nineteen buffoons waiting for you to knob it.
Despite the rain the greens were in good nick and scoring was good.
The team event went to Ernie, Rammy, Shellvis and John Quinn.
Nearest the pin went to L.R Bob who hit a great shot into the second to within 10 feet and it only took him
4 more shots to get down. Mark Doyle hit the longest drive on the 16th.
Third place went to Geedo with 32 points, second went to new comer John Banks who was unlucky to be
beaten on a count back.
With his first tour victory came Phil Mitton playing with his pre war clubs to score 33 points.
